Delta to Introduce Nonstop Flights from Boston to Milan and Barcelona in 2025

Delta Air Lines is offering Boston travelers the chance to explore Milan and Barcelona with new nonstop flights starting in the summer of 2025.

Delta Air Lines has announced its largest-ever transatlantic summer schedule, which includes over 700 weekly flights to 33 European destinations and beyond. Among the new routes, Delta will introduce nonstop flights from Boston to Milan and Barcelona starting in the summer of 2025.

The Milan route, addressing a significant gap as Boston’s largest unserved European market, will operate four times a week, while the Barcelona route will be available three times a week.

Ed Freni, director of aviation for Massport, expressed excitement about Delta’s new routes to Milan and Barcelona, highlighting Delta’s long-standing partnership with Logan Airport. He noted that these new services, part of Delta’s trans-Atlantic expansion in summer 2025, will offer passengers more travel options and enhance connections between New England and various regions of Europe.

The airline has also introduced a new direct route between Boston and Bozeman, Montana, starting in December just in time for the ski season.

Additionally, Delta has announced the opening of a Delta One lounge at Logan International Airport by next summer. This lounge will provide “an exclusive and luxurious setting” for Delta One and other eligible customers. New lounges are also set to open at Los Angeles International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The first Delta One lounge was inaugurated at John F. Kennedy International Airport in June.

The introduction of nonstop flights from Boston to Milan and Barcelona in 2025 by Delta is likely to boost demand for Boston airport transportation services, including airport shuttles. This increased connectivity can attract more travelers, leading to a higher need for convenient and efficient transportation options to and from Logan International Airport.
