By just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, over 100 flights were canceled at Boston Logan International Airport, as another snowstorm swept across the entire state. A weather-related advisory was issued at 8:20 a.m. on Jan. 16, urging passengers to verify flight statuses on the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) site before heading to the airport.
At 9:42 a.m., the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) indicated that snow might cause delays at Boston Logan. By just before 1 p.m., FlightAware.com reported the cancellation of slightly over 100 flights in and out of the airport, along with over 290 flights experiencing delays.

In the Boston area, National Weather Service forecasters anticipate a transition from snow to a wintry mix of rain, freezing rain, or sleet by early afternoon on Tuesday.
The combination will revert to snow, gradually diminishing between 5 and 7 p.m., caution forecasters. The weather service advises evening commuters to prepare for slippery road conditions later. Massport’s media relations director, Jennifer Mehigan, explained that today’s anticipated flight disruptions are not solely attributed to Massachusetts’ snowfall; weather-related ground stops in Chicago and New York may also affect Logan flights.
