Stricter Child Seat Law passes unanimously in Illinois, US

In a very welcome move that was long due despite a stern warning from pediatric doctors associations in the USA, where the state of Illinois has made punishable act if not following car seat laws for kids.

As per the new law, all child passengers below 2 years of age must be seated in infant seats with a rear-facing facility. Multiple studies have proven that chances of death in case of an accident involving infants drop significantly by 75% or more when infants are using a rear-facing child seat.
Strict implementation of these laws will help us save many lives. Boston and Massachusetts do have child seat guidelines but they are not punishable acts if not followed, yet. We urge the authorities to take note of this judgment and implement similar penalties for perpetrators in our state.
