On the busiest Memorial Day Weekend in years, thousands of flights were cancelled across the United States.

As a good news for Boson Taxi Drivers, Boston was ranked among the top 10 Memorial Day destinations. Monday is expected to be busy at Logan Airport.

Recent Cancellation at Logan Airport.

Saturday – 50 flights were cancelled.
Sunday – another 15 flights were cancelled.
Monday- 12 flights were canceled.

AAA estimates that just over three million people will fly this weekend. This is a drastic short term downfall.

FlightAware reports that Delta cancelled the largest number of flights this weekend, with more than 250 cancellations nationally on Saturday. Reason for the cancellations wee reported to be bad weather conditions, air traffic control measures, staffing and ongoing COVID-19 complications..

Delta spokesperson said that the airline tries to notify passengers at least 24 hours in advance if their flight is cancelled.
A traveler stated that the plane he was supposed leave on had a problem with the landing gear. The maintenance crew was not available. They had to wait for a new plane because the plane couldn’t fly. The flight that crashed today lost their bags. Just the delay and touch down at Delta did not cause the bags to be lost.
