At the Boston Harbor Hotel, the annual Boston Wine & Food Festival is over halfway through its three-month-long series of vino-focused programming. These programs include a number of events leading up to Valentine’s Day this weekend.
Even though the champagne tasting for Thursday night is sold out, there are still tickets available for the Napa wine event on Friday, the “Night in Paris” French wine dinner on Saturday, and the champagne brunch on Sunday morning.

Participate In The Celebration Of Black Culture That Is The Black History Month Film Festival.
This weekend marks the continuation of The Boston Globe’s Black History Month Film Festival, which is now in its third year. Over the course of 28 days, the festival shows movies that honor the creativity and culture of African Americans.
To begin, viewers can sign up for free access to the female-led heist thriller “Set It Off,” which was released in 1996, as well as a virtual discussion of the film on Monday at three o’clock in the afternoon.
In addition, on Friday, the Museum of Fine Arts will play host to a live screening of the documentary “The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks,” which is about the woman who is considered to be the mother of the Civil Rights movement.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the chocolate and ice sculpture festival that takes place every year in Salem returns for its 21st year this Friday through Sunday. The festival celebrates local retailers as well as all things sweet. The weekend starts with a kickoff party on Friday night.
On Friday and Saturday, ice sculptures will be set up all over downtown Salem. On Saturday and Sunday, people can take part in the “Chocolate Hearts Challenge,” an app-based scavenger hunt in which they scan QR codes in Salem businesses for a chance to win a prize. The Disco on Ice Skating Show will be held at 401 Park in the Fenway this Friday, and Woburn native and Olympic medalist Nancy Kerrigan, along with drag queen Milk, will be hosting the event. If you’ve ever wanted to skate with an Olympian, this is your chance.
After the performance is over for the evening, those in attendance will have the opportunity to join the skaters on the ice for an interactive skating experience. The performance, which begins at seven in the evening, can be viewed for free, but a separate ticket is required in order to skate on the rink.
